Action
Getting involved and taking a stand is so very important for self-advocates. There are so many ideologues out there trying to limit our experience with community—to cut our entitlements, availability of public goods and services, to basic healthcare. We need to be active if not militant when it comes acquiring real jobs with real pay checks. That is why we engage in legislative advocacy, monitor legislation, write letters, and participate in the DDPN Legislative Breakfasts.
