Speech Contest
Every year, San Diego People First holds it’s speech contest. Self-advocates speak on a specific topic often the conference theme. Speakers get to speak for three minutes. Judges from Toastmasters International officiate over the contest. There are several prizes awarded to the winners. The grand prize is a scholarship to attend next years conference.

AT THE LAST PEOPLE FIRST MEETING WE AGREED TO CO-SPONSOR ANOTHER SPEECH CONTEST WITH Arc LEXINGTON AND TOASTMASTERS. THIS ONE WILL BE HELD AT Arc EAST COUNTY LEXINGTON ON APRIL 2ND. WITH A TRAINING TO BE ANNOUNCED PRIOR TO THE EVENT.
THE THEME IS LAUGHTER.
SO COME OUT AND PARTICIPATE I KNOW YOU CAN MAKE ME LAUGH.
