Teddy Bear Dance

Each year San Diego People First co-sponsors with San Diego Park and Recreation Department Thearapeutic Recreation Services a holiday dance in December at the War Memorial Building. The price of admission is very special. It is a new, unwrapped teddy-bear. We collect the teddy bears and give them to Children’s Hospital. It can be hard to spend your time in the a hospital bde during the holidays when everyone else is going out to parties and celebrating. Having a soft, furry friend can help a child feel better. The theme for this year’s dance is Let me be your teddy bear. This year’s dance was a huge success with us collection over 200 teddy bears.
